One of our first projects we ever did was a coffee table that we found and turned it into a bench, the top was ruined it had some kind of water damage, looked a little warped, but it was just attached my some screws so we took it off and decided we would add foam and find some fabric and turn it into a great bench cause the bottom of the table was very sturdy just a little dirty.. so here what the before looked like
has the potential to be great with all those carved places and curved legs with the detail
so here was some of the progress
we painted the bottom in Annie Sloan old ochre and distressed it alot then used clear wax over it and the fabric we picked I think we got it from Hancock fabrics or maybe Joanns.
and here it is all completed
Didn't it turn out beautiful!
I saw this over at Redo It Yourself Inspirations and fell in love. It's gorgeous!

Great details on this clever bench!
ReplyDeleteThank you, it was one of first things we ever did and still one of my favorites it sold very quickly!
DeleteBeautiful. DId you have to reinforce the table top to use it as a bench?
ReplyDeleteNot on that one as it was very sturdy and didn't need any.
