Ice cream parlor chair

We found this ice cream parlor chair for a very good price its in really good condition and solid wood. I found this french like fabric at hobby lobby and thought it would be perfect for it. so here is how it started out.

has a ugly color on the seat, but I painted it a grayish cream color to match the fabric and distressed it in certain places, waxed it then added the seat back on and here how it turned out

so what do y'all think of how the chair turned out?
